Travel In Greece

Where to Go Before and After Milos
If you're coming all this way to Greece for our wedding, we're so happy and can't thank you enough. With that said, why not explore more of the Cyclades and Greece? There are so many incredible places in this country that you could easily spend months traveling (like us). This is by no means all there is to see around Milos. Feel free to contact us if you need more ideas or inspiration as we are self-proclaimed Greece travel experts.

Santorini
An island that needs no introduction is the iconic and world famous island of Santorini. A short ferry ride away, this island is a perfect place to visit before or after the wedding. Santorini is unique versus the rest of the Cyclades as the island was the result of volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago. Enjoy incredible views, hikes, food, and photo opportunities on this island that is sure to be on most people's bucket list.
Do keep in mind Santorini is very crowded and touristy and is much more expensive than the rest of Greece.
Folegandros
Folegandros is one of our favorite islands located in between Milos and Santorini. It's a short 1h ride from Milos and is the perfect island to combine with Santorini as well. The main Chora of the island is small but beautiful offering the same Cycladic charms as the other islands around it. What makes Folegandros special is its dramatic mountainous terrain. The views here are absolutely incredible.

Sifnos
Sifnos is a 1h ferry ride north of Milos and is one of our favorite islands in the Cyclades. This island is more off the beaten path without the typical tourist crowds that you'll see in Mykonos or Santorini. It's home to a beautiful old town that sits perched along a clifftop overlooking the Mediterranean.
Mykonos
Another island that needs no introduction is Mykonos. This island is home to a beautiful old town, high end restaurants, a vibrant nightlife scene, beach clubs, and more. It's also conveniently located with an international airport that serves flights all over Europe and the Middle East. Mykonos is a 3h ferry ride to Milos with multiple stops along the way like Naxos, Paros, and Sifnos.

Paros
Paros is and has quickly become the next Mykonos of Greece. Its endless list of trendy restaurants, beach bars, and stylish villas means it's a great place to see traditional Cycladic charm while also enjoying the Bohemian lifestyle that accompanies it. From Milos, it's a 2h ferry ride to the island of Paros. Make sure to visit the absolutely beautiful villages around the island as well as making a day trip to the even more charming Antiparos.

Greece Itinerary Ideas
Depending on the amount of time you have, here are some ideas to help you plan out your Greece itinerary. By no means are these the only options you have but these are just ideas to give you inspiration. If you're planning on island hopping, we would recommend at least 2-3 days per island. Keep in mind you'll spend time on the ferry to get between islands, so you don't want to rush through things.
